In our current hustle bustle culture we have designed our lives around the model that all things in the world are of mind and body. We have a saying that something is mind over matter, implying that the mind can affect the body. Many things in the world, however, are from a place beyond the mind. They occur because of the status of our soul, that eternal, energetic part of our selves that is on an epic journey. As our souls shift and evolve our relationship with the divine deepens and becomes more potent and our lives become more synchronistic.

The ancients knew that as much as we would like to, we can not affect change in the soul through the mind. We must use rites and ceremony to reach the soul. This is what makes the shamanic path different from a path of counseling or physical medicine. All healing events that occur at the level of the soul must be done in ceremony.

Ceremony is way of taking things out of the ordinary into the extraordinary, a way of moving things beyond the place of the mind into the hands of the divine. It involves opening a place between the visible and the invisible worlds where magic and miracles can happen. It is through Rites and Ceremony that the shaman shifts the world.

Traditionally shamans are the equivalent of priests in tribal communities. As such they officiate over the various ceremonies in their tribe, from births to death, from Rites of Passage to Weddings. As a trained shaman, Chris is available to her community to perform Fire Ceremonies, Birth Ceremonies, Weddings, Rites of Passage and Death Rites. Ceremonies are about marking a transition. Chris can design with you a ceremony to suit whatever your wants or dreams are.
